It's Monday, What Are You Reading? 3/2

It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey. I find it a great way to organize my thoughts on what I need to read and review in the up coming week, as well as anything for reading challenges.

BOOKS I FINISHED

Altered by Gennifer Albin is the second in the Crewel World trilogy. I will review them all together once I've read Unraveled, the last book. I already reviewed Crewel when I first read it.
The Burning Wire by Jeffrey Deaver is the ninth Lincoln Rhymes forensic thriller.
Mermaids in the Basement by Michael Lee West is contemporary Southern fiction about family secrets.
A Death in the Small Hours by Charles Finch is the sixth Charles Lenox historical mystery.

CURRENTLY READING
A Lesson in Secrets by Jacqueline Winspear is the eighth Maisie Dobbs historical mystery.

TO READ - All from the library.
The Goddesses of Kitchen Avenue by Barbara Samuels
The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister
The Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly is the fifth Mickey Haller legal thriller.
The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie is the first book featuring Hercule Poirot.

Have you read any of these? What did you think? What are you reading right now?

  2. All new to me Elizabeth, you sound well organised, hope you enjoy them all. If Nise enjoyed The School of Essential Ingredients then I might like it too. Will wait and see what you have to say about it.

  5. How did I miss that Albin had finished the Crewel trilogy????

I loved the first book - the time weaving imagery was amazing! I hope the next two keep up the good story work.

And as for Maisie - she's my hero, but I'm a book behind you. Time to catch up!

  6. I keep meaning to read the Maisie Dobbs series, but I haven't yet. Same with anything Agatha Christie. I love a good mystery, how have I never read the queen of mysteries??

  9. Two more historical mystery series to add to my reading list. I've not read any of the Maisie Dobbs or Charles Lennox novels. Looks like I'm in for a treat.

  10. Wow...great week for you.

I haven't read any of these books, Elizabeth, but I do like Agatha Christie books.

Oh wait...I have read Erica Bauermeister's book, The Lost Art of Mixing. I really enjoyed it.

I am sure The School of Essential Ingredients is just as good.

ENJOY this week, and thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Always a pleasure to see you stopping by.

  12. I loved The School of Essential Ingredients and I'm not a foodie by any stretch of the imagination. I'm pretty picky actually. But her descriptions had me hungry to try all that food. Enjoy your week!

i have shut off the CAPCHA, so if you are asked to type a word or number, please let me know. It is very annoying and slows down comments.
