OLE! It's Bloggiesta Time!

I am going to participate in Bloggiesta next week, March 23-29. My personal goal for 2015 was to get my blog re-organized, so this is a great tool for setting aside time to focus. If you haven't heard of the Bloggiesta, here's what it's all about: "Bloggiesta is a blogging marathon revolving around ticking off those items on your to-do list and improving your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing."

On the website there are links to past activities such as HTML, Sidebar Help, Social Media Buttons, for improving the actual blog, and articles from bloggers about writing great book reviews, using social media to build traffic, and copyright information to protect yourself as well as be sure you're not infringing on anyone else.

So, like a read -a-thon where you read all weekend, for the Bloggiesta you spend your time bettering your blog presence. This will be the first time it will run for a week, and a schedule of the activities is on the website.

My Good Intentions-Let's see what actually happens!

  • 2 mini challenges
  • add customized Goodreads widget to sidebar
  • learn to make pretty block quotes
  • comment on other Bloggiesta participants blogs
  • Twitter chat - I just don't get how these work. I always feel like a lurker!
There is a sign up at the web site. I bet you can jump in any time, so check it out! Bloggiesta is organized by Suey from It's All About Books and Danielle from There's a Book.

  4. I love Bloggiesta because I always pick up some great tips and learn something new! Love how you labeled your goals as Good Intentions, as that takes some of the pressure off. Good luck, and hope to see you at one of the Twitter parties!

  8. Great list! Wishing you a happy and productive Bloggiesta!

The Twitter chats can be a little overwhelming, but hang in there. Usually, I manage to have at least one meaningful interchange and I often learn a lot just by "listening."

i have shut off the CAPCHA, so if you are asked to type a word or number, please let me know. It is very annoying and slows down comments.
