Knots and Crosses by Scotsman Ian Rankin is the first Inspector Rebus novel, where the city of Edinburgh is almost as important a character as John Rebus. The books have been made into a British TV series that has been featured on Masterpiece Mystery.

What do you think about this teaser? If this were a genre you enjoyed, would it pull you in?
Nice teasers. I'm a little addicted to all things Masterpiece so will have to check this series out.
ReplyDeleteI watched that series. Great reminder that it is also a book series.
ReplyDeleteYes, very creepy. But compelling. I'd like to read some Ian Rankin.
ReplyDeleteI like creepy and I like this so far. I'm thinking the guy in the beginning and your 56 quote are one and the same. I'd like to know more!

ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed everything I've seen on Masterpiece Theater, so I'm sure these must be terrific books if they've been chosen for a TV series. I'll definitely read them.
