Vintage Thingies Thursday-Always Prepared

It's Thursday, the day for all things fabulously vintage! Suzanne @ Colorado Lady hosts the fun Vintage Thingies Thursday meme. This week I have something else that is not from my parents' basement. It's from no one's basement, actually. It belongs to my friend Paul, and he carries it most of the time whenever he leaves the house. It's always nice to see vintage thingies being used.
Paul uses this wonderful silver telescoping cup as his pill case. He likes to show off with it, opening and closing, as well as claim that he takes more pills than anyone. Which is definitely not true, because I take more pills than him. We've even counted and compared! LOL
I love the gorgeous embossing on the lid. I've never seen one of these so beautiful, I think I've only seen the plain, military-issues versions.
Added Note: I just found out I am featured in an Etsy Treasury showcasing products that bring awareness to different causes. Please go check it out, and if you are an Etsy member leave a comment for myextrabeads, the woman who created it. Treasuries only last 2 days, so hurry!
Have you got some nifty vintage item laying around and don't even realize it? Get it out and join us for Vintage Thingies Thursday @ ColoradoLady! It's wicked fun!

  1. I've never seen such a pretty telescoping cup either! And that would be fun to pull out and impress people with. But not the pill-taking!
    Happy VTT!

  13. Hi again Elizabeth!
I commented on etsy and favorited your shop to look at later.
I'm interested in the NE Blogger event at the end of the month. But I wanted to say that when I clicked the NE blogger button that I have on my blog it goes to a post from 2007! Could you do a new button that is more current?

  18. That does have a more intricate design than the ones I've seen too. Very nice - great idea to use it for a pillbox.

i have shut off the CAPCHA, so if you are asked to type a word or number, please let me know. It is very annoying and slows down comments.
