Before my official Blue Monday post, I'd like to announce that the winner of the Halloween bracelet is Lani from Who Knew? Reviews.
I attended the wedding of a friend's daughter on Friday night. I went with my co-workers Mandy and Christine, and we had a really fun time.So much of this wedding was created by the bride and her family, it was the most personal, and lovely wedding I've ever attended. My friend Paul, the bride's father, officiated. He applied for a special 1-day Justice of the Peace license so he could do the ceremony. He also made the gorgeous hydrangea wreath on the arbor, and carved the bride and groom for the cake. There was so much blue at this wedding. The flowers were blue hydrangea and white roses. Not only were the place cards blue, the writing on them was blue ink!The best blue of the night was the little flower on top of the scrumptious cupcakes. There was chocolate, vanilla, lemon, and I had red velvet.

The blues are beautiful. I can just imagine how beautiful the wedding was. The cupcakes looked so delicate I bet they tasted good too.

I love weddings where people put a lot of themselves into the decor and ceremony. And I am now officially craving those cupcakes, Elizabeth! Gee thanks... LOL! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas... they are one of my favorite flowers. I think they look lovely at weddings and in flower arrangements for parties. SO pretty! How neat that the fathere of the bride was able to officiate. That is very special.
Happy Blue Monday to you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
I enjoyed the blue wedding motif. You gave me an idea. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday.
mine is up too.
Oh wow, your friend is very talented. It looks like it was a very lovely affair. Hydrangeas are hard to beat. Great post.

ReplyDeleteGood morning Elizabeth. I just love weddings and especially when the bride chooses the color blue. Everything here is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Happy Blue Monday ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty wedding! Did her Father cry while he was trying to do the wedding.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Love all that blue!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from SITS.
My son was married by his bride's father, and it made such a sweet day even sweeter. My DIL choose BLUE for her bridesmaid's gowns too. But no one made a gorgeous hydrangea wreath; what an excellent idea! You've brought some pretty BLUES to show us today. Happy Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteThese blues remind me of my son's wedding! Love the hydrangeas. Happy Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Don't you just love weddings? And this one looks so special.

I love this kind of wedding. It's always so nice to see families roll up their sleeves and set to work to make the day very special for the bride and groom. Thanks for sharing your photos with us. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice wedding! My son and his girlfriend will be married next October. I hope to put as much into their wedding as possible, but not step on anyone's toes. Isn't that good practice for being a mother-in-law? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of outdoor weddings and I've never been to one! Just stuffy church weddings. Looks like I've been missing out.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that Paul wanted to officiate for his daughter's wedding! I'm sure that meant a lot to the bride and groom!
Justine :o )
Hello Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteYour friend is very talented. It looks like it was a very lovely wedding. I think weddings are even more special when the bride, groom and their families add a lot of personal touches. That was the case for my cousin's wedding recently in Spokane, WA.
Those cupcakes look so sweet with the blue violets on them.
Thank you for sharing!

Oh, and I have to thank you. I've had problems trying to find a blog designer over the past several months. I wandered onto your blog about two weeks ago, clicked on the link for your blog designer, and mine should be done this week!
