HI-HO, HI-HO
It's Vintage Thingies Thursday with our hostess Suzanne from ColoradoLady, yee haw! I have something small and cute that didn't come from my parents' house. It came from my friend Mary's parents' house! hehehe She has been helping her father clean things out and came across these cute little fellows. She thought they were something I'd like, and of course she was right. They are really sturdy, unlike most of the cupcake toppers I have seen. The plastic isn't painted, so they are the same on both sides. Mary thought they might be Christmas elves, which is why she gave them to me at Christmas. I think they look more like the dwarves from Snow White, marching off to their day in the mines. I can just see a table with seven cupcakes lined up, and a bigger Snow White cake following them, can't you?For more vintage goodies visit Suzanne @ ColoradoLady and the other participants in Vintage Thingies Thursday.

That would be cool if you had a whole procession of cupcakes topped by dwarfs.
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute. You were lucky she gave them to you. You just never know what you will find when we clean house. I sure need to do that.
ReplyDeleteoh what cutie pies..i mean elves or perhaps dwarfs!?
ReplyDeleteNow, we must find you a Snow White. I think you're right..I think they're off to work in the mines.. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT..have a lovely weekend.
Those are great. They've got to be from Snow White, haven't they?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Snow White's dwarfs although the 2nd one kind of reminds me of Mr. Magoo! Do you remember him?
ReplyDeleteHow very cute! I agree that they look like two of the seven dwarves.

I agree with you Elizabeth, they've got to be dwarfs from Snow White. They're so cute, and wouldn't it be wonderful to have all seven? The other five have got to be out there somewhere!
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT!

Wow, and you're right! So much nicer than new cake toppers. Which looks crazy-junky! these look wonderful!
ReplyDeletehappy vtt!
They are adorable! Now you need cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteYour friend Mary and you have a lot in common; you both like searching for treasures in basements ;0
Those 'Dwarfs' are so neat! I've never seen cupcake toppers like them before. What a nice gift! I too think they look like the Snow White dwarfs. Wouldn't it be fun to find the rest! This is my first VTT and I've enjoyed your post as well as the comments you have left on the other VTT participants. I hope you'll stop by and see my Head Vases.
ReplyDeleteI thought that I was the only one who saved cake decoratives like this. I have a couple of ziplock bags full. I always intended to reuse them on a homemade cake, but never have.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any like these, though; they're cute.
Too cute! I bet they are two of the seven dwarfs!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful and I bet they are the 7 dwarfs (well, 2 of them):)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! How may cakes they topped do you think? Oh the things they have heard....
ReplyDeleteThose are very cute. I did't know there were cupcake toppers.
ReplyDeleteI love 'em!! I feel a serious eBay/etsy/thrift shop search beginning. If I find 'em I'll send 'em. You "need" the whole collection!
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT!!
Oh yeah i'd say those are very cute dwarves!I want to see the cake............
ReplyDeleteTHese are adorable....love them!! Of course you would like them!!! Happy VTT!
ReplyDeleteNow you have a new quest: to find the other 5 dwarves and Snow-White. Happy VTT!
ReplyDeletePS. I took the the Jung personality type test and I am an idealist. Darn! I wanted to be a mad scientist.
Oh, yes, definitely two of the 7 dwarves! How cute! And a new project, too, finding the others, lol!
ReplyDeleteI agree that I think these are 2 of the 7 dwarfs. They are too cute. How fun to see if you can find the others.
ReplyDeleteJane
Cute! Definitely dwarfy!
ReplyDeleteThese are Wonderful!! I bet they are two of the seven dwarfs!
ReplyDeleteVery cute. and yes they do look like snow whites little friends.... Can you name them all? It was a game my Dad used to play with us. That and can you name all of Santa's reindeer? I guess those "memory" games helped us when it came to remembering people's names later on as we grew to be adults.
ReplyDeleteWe actually had a set almost like these 0 they were candle holders for those small candles you put on a birthday cake. They kept the candle wax from dripping on the cake and provided the cake decoration at the same time.
