Finished 4 Friday: Lotsa Stuff

I've finally gotten out of my post-holiday funk and got some things done this week. First off, I did my own laundry for the first time in over 18 months. This is a huge accomplishment: carry the basket down 2 sets of stairs, switch the wet laundry to the dryer, and then bring it back up. All without letting my oxygen tubing get tangled or trip me up.
I also finished listening to my first audio book in 20 years, Philippa Gregory's The White Queen, the first book in her War of the Roses trilogy. It's the story of Elizabeth Woodville, queen to Edward IV. It was good to listen while I worked on crafts, including finally cleaning up from all my Christmas crafts. Talk about lazy!

Here's the jewelry I made this week. I am calling them the Four Seasons collection, and I plan to give one or two away for the One World One Heart Giveaway in two weeks. I also have them in my etsy shop. Remember, for my bloggy friends no shipping for you! Just contact me via email if there is something you'd like. I was inspired by a bracelet I won from the very sweet Tammy of Art & Inspiration. It was also memory wire and in a variety of blues. I thought, "What a great way to use some odds and ends of different colors!" I think I'm going to explore making coordinating earrings. Hopefully I'll have something to share next week.
Over at Lit and Laundry folks are showing off what they've Finished for Friday. Lit and Laundry has a beautiful new blog design for everyone to see! Go on! Hurry! You need to check it out!

Yeah! Thank you for using my new badge! You're the first. The linky is running now. I don't know why it's on time delay. I need to fix that. Thank you for the kind words about my new blog look! I'm loving it.

That Philippa Gregory book is on my list. I'm just starting to get back into audiobooks - they really are a great way to get through more books and craft at the same time.

I LOVE your bracelets!

Oh Elizabeth sweetie...
God Bless you. You did it. All your own laundry. Sweetie what a wonderful accomplishment, and you should feel outstanding about it. I am so thrilled for you sweetie, so thrilled. It is very hard to go up and down stairs for someone who has no health issues, let alone you having to battle an oxygen tube and having the strength. Oh I am so proud of you. Do you hear me clapping for you sweetie? Cuz I am.

I love the white bracelet, is it absolutely eye candy gorgeous. Love it. What beautiful work you do. I love the way they are like a tri bracelet, so unusual and pretty.

Thanks for sharing sweetie. Again clapping away here. Have a beautiful Friday. Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Hey now. I listen to Audio books all the time. It's not being lazy. It is efficient.

Someone reads to you while you accomplish chores such as laundry, dusting, removing 2 lbs of dried up playdough from the overnight stay of kids in son's room, chasing the evil hamster.

Multi-tasking at it's best. "Hey there Elizabeth. Have you read the latest King book "Under the Dome?"

"Why yes I have."

Secretly you've listened to the whole thing while cleaning your house.

Oh, and if your mom has a hard time reading and you spend that time with her listening together, it totally rocks.

Ooh, the bracelets are gorgeous! Love the colors.
And wow, you did laundry? Are you sure you're up to those two flights of stairs? Be careful! On the other hand, in a way, it must have felt SO good, right?

Justine :o )
