Sarah's Random Musings

Day Two of Book Blogger Appreciation Week: Interview another Book Blogger

For the BBAW blogger interview, I was matched up with Sarah, from Sarah's Random Musings. Sarah is eighteen and gobbles up Young Adult books, posting almost a review a day! She also frequently attends author readings and book signings, something I have never done, but would like to. As a teacher who enjoys YA literature, I am thrilled that I was introduced to Sarah and her blog, which I will have as a great resource in the blogs I follow.
Below are the questions I asked Sarah.
How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for over a year. It has been a really fun year.
Why do you write about books specifically?
When I first got sick, I started reading a lot. Reading was my main escape from the pain. I followed a few blogs for about sixth month, before starting blogging. My family was probably getting sick of me talking about books, so I started blogging about books. I found it really fun and I love writing.
Favorite Genre
I love contemporary stories. I can always relate to them in some way.

Least Favorite Genre

I am not a fan of Science Fiction books, though I love Sci Fi shows.
How did you hear about BBAW?
I heard about it on a few blogs and on Twitter.
Do you come from a family of readers? If not, what do you think drew you to books?
My mom loves to read and my dad reads from time to time. My sisters like to read. My brother is the only one that doesn't read in my family. Harry Potter is what gave me such a tremendous love for reading and my search for any book possible.
Has blogging about books and reading changed the way you read, select, or think about books? In what way(s)?
I read a lot of books that are reviewed on other blogs and also ones from authors that I love. I think about books more deeply and analyze them more.
Take some time to visit Sarah's Random Musings and slap it into the blogs you Follow so you can go back and really read and savor her thoughts on YA books.

i have shut off the CAPCHA, so if you are asked to type a word or number, please let me know. It is very annoying and slows down comments.
