Well, folks, my cataract surgery last Monday went great! I don't even have any swelling or a little blood-shot to show you! Other than being a little off-balance, I even felt like I could see well enough to drive home, but I didn't, my sister drove, don't worry! The eye doctor has a cute little shtick where he gives patients a brightly colored African violet when they leave because now the patient can see and enjoy the colors and varied textures of the plant.
The first time I took a pink one, intending to share it for a Pink Saturday, but I forgot. This time my mom made sure I got a blue one. I LOVE it even more than the pink one, which is still looking beautiful, by the way. My goal is to keep them both alive for at least a year.

How unique, for the Dr to give a plant. I like it. It got you talking about him, didn't it? Guess that could be one reason or he might just really be a nice guy.
ReplyDeleteEither way...it is a very pretty plant. My Grandmother has the magic touch with plants and used to grow lovely African Violets.

Pretty violet! They need an awful large amount of daylight to keep blooming. My mom kept hers in an east window, and they bloomed nearly non-stop!
