Although I am not known for my cooking or baking, I wanted to show off my pink Depression-era measuring cup. There are 3 pourings spouts and it gives not only cups but ounces, which is great for someone who can never remember the conversions, such as me! "Kellogg's" is embossed into the bottom, and a few air bubbles are in the glass, which makes it an interesting conversation piece. It was probably given away for saving a certain number of box tops in the 1930s or 1940s. If you click the picture below you can see the logo much better.
I paid $12.00 for it about 15 years ago, and have seen it recently priced as high as @25.00. The cup was also available in green, but is much rarer, and therefor a little more expensive.Scroll down to Friday's blog post to read about my awesome, enormous book giveaway. Enter to win up to 8 books!
