Pink Patriotism!

Happy Fourth of July! Today I am participating in Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. How to take a day of red, white, and blue and turn it pink? With chemicals and pyrotechnics! Here are some great shots of pink fireworks that I found in various places on the internet. If you're not having fireworks in your community this year, hopefully this will suffice. Now I'm off to check out the other Pink Saturday participants and see if anyone else had ideas of Pink Patriotism. Have a great holiday weekend.

  4. "...and the rockets' red glare gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave... o're the land of the free and the home of the brave..."

Every time I see fireworks, Elizabeth, I think about that battle during the War of 1812 about which our nation's anthem was penned, and I get misty eyed thinking of the sacrifices that so many patriots have made for our freedom.

Love your pink patriotic fireworks. Long may they wave along with our flag!

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  6. Oh, I'm a sucker for fireworks - we have to wait until Guy Fawkes Night (5th November).

Happy Pink Saturday and Happy 4th July (being from the UK, I hadn't realised it was Independence Day...).

i have shut off the CAPCHA, so if you are asked to type a word or number, please let me know. It is very annoying and slows down comments.
