More Lake Blues

Happy, Happy Blue Monday, one and all! I am apologizing in advance for what will probably be a week where I do few or no visits I am having my second cataract surgery on my left blue eye today! Yay!! Maybe I'll some more gross pictures to share with you later in the week. Meanwhile, be sure to visit Smiling Sally and the other Blue Monday participants and leave a comment when you check out their fun blues!A few weeks ago I had some cool sky photos from a weekend I spent at my sister's lake house. They showed the clouds getting darker and a storm coming in.Here are my nephews and their friend in their blue life jackets under the blue Bimini as we go back to the dock when it started getting too dark. We went back to the house, cleaned up and played cards.

When the thunderstorm stopped, look what was right out our window decorating the beautiful blue sky! It made me realize I hadn't seen a rainbow in years. When was the last time you saw a rainbow?

  1. oh my - eye surgery! I hope that goes well! The pictures from the lake house are great. Love the blue life jackets! We see rainbows lots around here - we get a lot of fast moving storms for some reason and they are often followed by rainbows. It is great!

I need to tell you that every time I open your blog, I smile at the thought of you as an evil overlord. Your photo just doesn't match that title! :)

  19. We get so many storms down here that it's common to see rainbows. They always take you back to childhood though, don't they?

  21. That sign is absolutely charming!

I have not seen a good rainbow for a long time, but the area I live in is famous because we have so much water around that we get many double rainbows.
