Tuppence a Bag!

Do you know what that line in my title is from? Do you want to hear me sing it? (No!) It's Blue Monday and I have a new blue purchase to share with you. To see how others incorporate blue into their lives, visit Smiling Sally who hosts this fun carnival.
As I told you, a few weeks ago I opened an etsy shop. Last week I clicked on "See who hearts this shop" to see if there was anyone there and there was! I clicked on gourdartisaniam to see the shop and was amazed at all of her gorgeous gourd art.Vases, birdhouses, wall art, anything you can imagine it was there.I really liked one of the birdhouses, but preferred to have it as a bird feeder, so I contacted Hilary and we convo-ed and came up with what is going to be a great Christmas present for my mom.She LOVES to feed the birds and has a variety of the standard garden-shop feeders, but nothing artistic, cute, or beautiful.I love the shade of blue on the gourd, and I asked for a robin and a cardinal because those are two of the birds that frequent my parents' yard.Isn't it beautiful and unique?! I want one for myself but bird feeders aren't allowed at my condo. They bring bird poop, you know!
When you have time, go check out Hilary's amazing work at Simply Gourdgeous Art, her regular website. She has a huge gallery.

  6. Those are great. A neighbor has one, but it isn't painted so it is no where near as lovely.

  10. These are beautiful. I have up so many feeders.. just took down the suet ones as the heat makes refilling them almost impossible. I fight the grackles and blackbirds as well as squirrels and raccoons. But it is worth it to see the chickadees, tufted titmouse, goldfinch, cardinals and many others come to dine.

  17. Hi Elizabeth
Happy Blue Monday to you .
Wow what a neat idea .
My parents always had all kinds of bird feeders ,but living in a rental we have to be careful of the bird poop :)
I put out a small bird bath ,no feeders, and soon discovered lots of consequences.
So the bird bath holds a pretty plant :)
I hope yyour etsy shop is providing you with lots of joy and sales too !
    Hugs

i have shut off the CAPCHA, so if you are asked to type a word or number, please let me know. It is very annoying and slows down comments.
