These yellow flower plates are the dishes I grew up with. The golden yellow shows that they were bought in the early 1970s. The manufacturer's mark on the bottom is all blurred, so I don't know who made them, but I know that a VTT participant posted these dishes a few months ago and her's had a clear mark. If you're that person, please leave me a comment letting me know!There are only 2 of these plates left. My sister and I each have one because our mom brought us coffee cakes at Christmas and we didn't return them.

My parents still have most of the bowls and coffee cups from the set, mostly because they prefer to drink from favorite mugs, and they have a ton of other bowls, too. When these dishes got down to just a few, my mom replaced them with good old Corelle, which she still uses today. It doesn't break, of course, plus she got all of my grandmother's which is the same pattern. So if you are looking for Corelle with the golden flower pattern you know who to ask!

I had those exact plates! It was 1976 or 1977. We were moving to a new home in Kentucky - the kitchen had gold appliances and I wanted the dishes to match.
I don't remember who made the dishes or the pattern name, but I loved them!
My aunt had those SAME dishes in her lake cottage in the Northwoods of Wisconsin!!!! I don't know the maker nor the pattern name either.

I have one BIG plate like that...if I can find where I stored it, I will post next week. It belonged to my Mother,
and I had it wrapped up with other stuff of hers after her death.
We had the set too, but now I just have the platter.

Isn't it funny how we become nostalgic for things from our childhood? When I was little, I couldn't have cared less for the Melmac plates we ate off. Now I am on a search for yellow and pink Melmac plates! Your plates must be a pleasure to eat from, because they're so bright and cheerful. Funny how you didn't return them to your Mom!
I like those plates even though I don't like most 1970s stuff.

I have a pattern that is very similar to this pattern but it is stoneware not glass like Corelle it is called Hacienda Gold by Franciscan. Happy VTT!
