Rejoice!

Happy Easter one and all! I am off to a family gathering, as I am sure many of you are, or you're hosting it with your gorgeous tablescapes and yummy goodies.
Growing up we always got an Easter basket with certain things in it, a Russell Stover chocolate bunny, the cheap-o jelly beans, which I like best, some other candies, and a small toy or two. We also got a set of new summer pajamas, wrapped up in a box under the basket. Lots of families do the Christmas jammies, but we seemed to get the nighties at Easter.

We always had the same baskets, and my niece now uses the one that was her mother's. The egg hunt at our house got very interesting one year. We always searched for the eggs we had decorated, so it was important to find them before it got gross. One year there was an egg that just couldn't be found, and the Easter bunny wasn't sure where it might be. The big family dinner was being held at our house, so the over was set to pre-heat, and lo-and-behold, there was the egg! Boiled AND baked! LOL
I hope you have made a fun family memory or two today! I'm sure I'll have one, since we're taking teenage boys to a fancy brunch buffet. Who knows what could happen!

Such a cute picture of you and your sister. I am trying to remember if we ever had any forgotten eggs or not. At the moment I can't remember. Uh oh....sign of getting old.....
