I am humbled!

I like to show my visitors the things I make from time to time, and several people have suggested I think about an Etsy shop for my cards and garlands. Financially things may be taking a big plunge for me soon, so I thought I'd look around Etsy with an eye to shop setup, pricing, shipping costs, and organization, rather than just looking at pretty things to buy. That is when I was humbled and beaten into the ground. Not that anyone is out there telling me I'm no good at things, but I am just so impressed and in awe at the amazingly original artwork available by so many talented people around the world. Just by searching with the words "birthday cards" I found such a great variety of artists with fabulous things. Here are a few that I added to my favs.Michelle at Faerie Dust Dreams makes these really cook Scrap Boxes. When the box is untied the sides come down and there are all of your photos decorating the inside! She has them for holidays and will also do custom orders. At Cemerony there are all sorts of digital images that can be used in your own artwork. This artist is located in The Netherlands and sends the buyer the images digitally, so there's no shipping and the prices are great!Seasonal Delights has these cool corner bookmarks. I've received many bookmarks as gifts over the years and I've never seen anything like them. It's the opposite of dog-earing the page, which is my usual bookmark! (Sorry!)Allen Designs Studio had these amazing funky clocks with all sorts of themes. I picked a pink tea pot to show because I know that many of you like pink and tea pots!
Remember that I found all of these things while searching for "birthday cards" so these shops have a variety of items in stock. Now you've seen what some true artists can accomplish to make the everyday beautiful! I hope you'll remember these artists when it's time to buy a gift or just to treat yourself.

And I feel intimidated by you, so you see how badly this makes me feel?

Amazing items can be found at etsy, but there is always room for another artsy person's creations! You have posted some lovely finds - I had to check out their shops myself! I have been selling on etsy for just over a year and have met some wonderful people! That is one of the greatest rewards!

I hope this doesn't stop you from making your own Etsy shop. Your work is great.

I too thought of doing etsy but then I think that I cannot find time to vacuum. The items you showed are lovely but you make beautiful things too.

Have A Fabulous Friday
