Easter Porn?

I bet you're wondering what the title of this post has to do with BLUE MONDAY! When you scroll down, you'll see, but peek at your own peril! Don't come crying to me if you are embarrassed by what you see! Smiling Sally hosts BLUE MONDAY each week, so if you don't want to look here, visit her blog for many more participants sharing their BLUENESS today.
I have a bunch of vintage Easter cards that feature BLUE. For PINK SATURDAY a few weeks ago, I showed some creepy cards that had pink. The first of these BLUE cards is a little weird. Why is Little Boy BLUE hatching out of an egg.? It's not exactly creepy, but it is definitely strange! This cute girl in the BLUE pinafore is much more my cup of tea. Ah, you've noticed that there has been no porn yet...don't get complacent, it's coming up!I absolutely adore these delightful bunnies in their BLUE Model-T! Now, here comes what you've been waiting for...Why is there a naked lady lounging, or trying to escape, an egg shell? Is this supposed to put us in the mood for Easter? Is she using the shell as a tub to bathe away her sins during this time of renewal? Maybe it's Nature's tanning bed and she's getting a base tan for spring? Or it's Venus rising, but instead of a clam shell she's in a chicken egg? I just don't get it!
I leave you probably as confused as I am to go off into the wild BLUE yonder of Smiling Sally's BLUE MONDAY!

I guess the naked lady in the egg symbolizes being "nekked as a jaybird!" ;-)

Thanks for sharing the cards with us.

Happy Blue Monday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Since you're always sharing cards, your blog is loaded with card porn (hi, Googlers!). I love the little girl and the bunnies in the car. The naked lady is weird. I wanted to let you know when I go to your blog through AOL (Internet Explorer), I get a pop up error message with "stack line overflow at line: 53" and I can't do anything after that but shut down AOL. But I can get to your blog with Firefox. The same thing happened a few weeks ago. I don't know how to fix it but I did read that something in your sidebar might be causing it. Then again, I also read 517 other possible reasons. I'll try to open your blog with AOL tomorrow and see if it works. If not, I'll just use Firefox. Maybe someone will read this and have some ideas on how to fix it.

Hey girlie, Im having a hard to viewing your blog Im getting the same error message. "Stack overflow at line:352" it then locks up the page and I cant do anything but go to task manager and shut down the page manually.
After several attemps and shut downs I was finally able to view the cards you posted. Too funny. yeah, what is up with the lady in the egg? I guess thats for older folks who are tired of the easter bunny cards? LOL

Maybe it's because I am old enough, but I like these cards so much more than the new ones on the market. There is such a sweet sentimentality about them with a touch of whimsical comedy.

I enjoyed the vintage cards, but that last one is pretty wacky...maybe like she was trying to redeem herself bursting out of an Easter egg rather than a cake at a bachelor party?!? lol!

Fun post! I did wonder about the title. I used to have that same problem with the stack overload thingie. I don't remember what we did about it. I ended up not visiting you as much because of it. But forgot about it when clicking on your name from Sally's Mr. Linky list. Not having that happen now. Too bad I can't remember why it was doing that.

Aha, I see others have told you about the problem in IE. Mine says stack error in line 353. Weird how we are getting different messages. Anyhow, my son is always bugging me to use firefox, so I am finally able to look at your blog.

I love these cards, and especially the nekkid lady one. Not sure what its supposed to be about, but she is sure a classic beauty, lol. I imagine it was a card that was sent from a rather naughty lady to her equally naughty suitor.
