SORRY! I messed up the date on my pre-posting, so I am late w/ Pink Saturday. OOPS!
Hip-Hop! Pinkety-Pink! It's Saturday and time to think Pink! Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound is hosting over 140 (!) pink visitors today. Stop by and see what they are showing off.
I have this awesome soft pink hat from the late 1950s or early 60s. It was my mom's of course, but not from the basement...from the upstairs hallway closet. Uh huh, we have things packed away everywhere!
I love the little flowerbuds on the netting and the way it swirls into the center. Behind it you can see its hat box from G. Fox and Company, which was a big department store where my mother worked when she was attending secretarial school. Wouldn't this hat be great with the jewelry I showed you for Vintage Thingies Thursday?
Do you ever wear hats for fashion? I don't, but I enjoy playing with them and think I look pretty good in them, too! Ha!

Hi Elisabeth,
Am I the first today??
Happy Pink Saturday!
I love your hat! So pretty. Happy Pink Saturday!
Cute hat!! I love hats but don't look to good in them. I love to see women in hats especially when the hat becomes them.
Happy Pink Saturday.
Kris
Elizabeth, Happy Pink Saturday! I love your vintage pink hat and it is even sweeter that it was your mothers. pink hugs, Ellen
Hi Elizabeth, thanks for your visit and compliment on the sweater. It is too pretty to be called a SWEAT shirt. Big Smile.
I love the hat and yes, I remember wearing hats in the 50's. Now you know I am old. I don't feel old though!!! We dressed up to go downtown to see a movie. How silly was that?
Happy PS day.
Hugs...Jeanne
That is just too cool! Reminds me of Jackie Kennedy, for some reason!
What a lovely hat. I am not a hat person, they usually look silly on me. But I do enjoy looking at vintage hats.
Have a lovely weekend.

Yes it would look gorgeous with that jewelry. I can just picture your mom , so well dressed with her hat going to work. I have one hat that I wear in the winter , I would love to wear others but there's no where to wear them..
