I love bracelets in general and these two in particular. The first is made completely of real coins from European countries. When they were young single working gals in the late 50s my mother would go on vacation with her friend Rosemary. They did tours of Europe, Mexico, and Egypt. The bracelet is about 2 links too small for me to wear, and I keep saying I'm going to get links added, but really, it would be extremely noisy to wear. It's also really heavy. I'm thinking of using it as the centerpiece to a border on the top of my red Roman shade because it looks so good in this picture.
This chain belt bracelet always fascinated my sister and me. We both wore it at different times as part of our jewelry wardrobe, and it fascinates my niece and nephews now. They love to squoosh it because the metal moves so smoothly like chain mail.
For my wrist it's a little tight, and you can't get this one re-sized, so I'll give it to my sister or niece now that I've got a picture of it. It has no marking from any particular manufacturer. What's your favorite kind of jewelry?

Really neat bracelets, I love the coin one. And the fact that your Mom had it made makes it even more special.

...those are awesome. :-)
Love that coin bracelet! I'll bet
you would like to know the
story behind each and every coin.
It is a treasure. My favorite
jewelry would be antique and the
bright colors of Bakelite jewelry.
yes I am digging the coin bracelet. hmm my favourite kind of jewellery is 1950's orientated - usually bracelets or pendants :-)
I love both pieces of jewelry..my favorite is the one where your mom collected the coins. What a wonderful treasure. My favorite piece of jewelry would have to be the gold locket, with the initial L... that once belonged to my dads mother. I cried my heart out when it was stolen. Happy VTT Elizabeth, and have a wonderful day.
these are all just great !
my post tomorrow is about the jewelry i like....
hugs, bj
Great pieces today Elizabeth...love the coin one..thanks for sharing...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
Elizabeth, I remember the buckle bracelet. These look like they have been taken care very well. Love the old coin one too, very unusual. Great post today....love your jewelry.
I remember the buckle bracelet, and girls used to always wear charm bracelets when I went to school, although I never had one.
the coin bracelet is very unusual and I just happen to have an old watch with a similar band to your second bracelet :)
Oh, I remember the buckle bracelet-they were wonderfully slinky!
The coin bracelet is wonderful-what a great way to keep memories of traveling.
I have my mother's charm bracelet too. What a great idea to use coins. And I remember the chain belt bracelet.
My favorite jewelry is a necklace.
Those are neat bracelets. I think I like the chain belt one best. That would look beautiful with a little black dress.
I used to have a coin bracelet - Completely forgot about it till I saw your picture! Great items!
I love ANY vintage jewelry...and yours are lovely! I always love it to that you seenm to make it around to all the posts! Happy VTT!
They are really neat and I think you should find a way to display them.
Have a Thankful Thursday

Oh Elizabeth!! That coin bracelet is so Cleopatra. I just love it!
I would agree though that it probably would be a bit jingly. It is gorgeous and what a wonderful idea, I don't remember coin bracelets. Of course, I've never been anywhere :)
That coin bracelet is such a nice keepsake from your mom's travels. And, I don't remember chain belt bracelets but I am pretty sure someone I knew had a ring like that when I was a kid. Great vintage stuff as usual, Elizabeth.
I love both of those, especially the fact that your mom took meaningful mementos and turned them into something she could wear! Cool idea!
Thanks for sharing with Best Posts.
I love bracelets too I am so addicted to them-& ear rings!
Love yours.

Elizabeth this is so ironic. I just listed the top bracelet on ebay for my mom and I had the bottom bracelet and wore it to death until my wrist was permanently green LOL I loved that bracelet.
