Vintage Valentines

It's everyone's favorite day of the week, Thursday! Suzanne @ Colorado Lady has a list of all the participants posting vintage items for your perusal, so be sure to go check them out! Maybe you've got something great in your attic, basement, or garage, or even sitting out where you see it every day. If so, you should join us!
I thought I'd share a few vintage Valentine images this week that people could use in their crafting. I don't own these actual Valentines, but the images are not copywritten, so anyone can use them. Suzanne is also showing off Valentine cards, but her's are some that she actually received as a child. Will you be sending any Valentine cards this year?

I agree with your other reader that
they should make valentines like they used to... they're so pretty!
Easy answers to your questions 1st:
1.For ♥ - press Alt and the number 3. 2. Yes I own all the flower pins and more colors.. i will rerun them on JLJ. 3. I seem to be running out of photo space and I don't want to delete everything.
A lot of people come to JLJ to view the pictures hence another blog to accommodate photo space.

They are so cool and pretty those vintage cards. I really like them :o)

I am in Denmark, and we don't celebrate Valentine's Day over here. Actually, recent years has seen an increase in flower- and chocolate shops wanting to celebrate and I am sure the younger crowd embraces Valentine's Day, but I dare say that most people over 25 here in Denmark doesn't. We simply did not grow up with the tradition, so to us its nothing special. So to answer your question, I am not going to send or receive any Valentine Cards this year. Although I do have many North American friends, and perhaps they would like one :o)

Elizabeth, thank you for your suggestions for the Sport's Theme basket. I am going to use them, they are great. I love these Valentines...the pics are great, but the sayings are the best. Who knew retro would be so big. I wish I had saved everything I ever owned! THank you for sharing them with us. Hugs, Kathleen

They look very much like some of the old cards I have in my collection from when I was growing up, you don't find cards like that now though which is a pity...

When my parents cleaned out my grandmother's house, they found some valentines that my grandpa gave her. We have a friend who's a graphic design artist and he said that some of them were lithographs! I wish I had pictures to share right now; these are some amazing cards!

Oh... I hadn't thought of it and now it's probably too late. I should have both some vintage (since I'm not interested in Hannah Montana and Batman) Valentines to send.
Why didn't you ask me that earlier?

I am sending out Valentines! I also made the offer on my blog if there is anyone out there who will not be receiving a kiss, hug or well wish on that day to let me know and I will send them a valentine. :)
