Vintage Greetings

Happy 2009, and welcome to the first Vintage Thingies Thursday of the year! VTT is hosted by Suzanne at ColoradoLady, where you can find a list of this week's participants and see what they have to share.I have some vintage images of New Year's and winter greetings. These are great for using in craft projects, or framing for seasonal decor.Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. ~ Hal Borland
Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man. ~ Benjamin Franklin
Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right. ~ Oprah WinfreyRing out the old, ring in the new, Ring, happy bells, across the snow: The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true. ~ Alfred, Lord Tennyson
A happy New Year! Grant that I,
may bring no tear to any eye.
When this New Year in time shall end
let it be said I've played the friend,
have lived and loved and labored here,
and made of it a happy year.~ Edgar Guest

HAPPY NEW YEAR ELIZABETH!
I LUV those vintage postcards
and I've started collecting
those too! I adore the artwork
images and history. They are
small and easier to store...
But 2009 is the year I need to declutter the rest of the house/attic, that's my goal.
How about you?

Those gnomes are totally drinking champagne from that soup tureen, arent they? We should introduce them to the alcoholic bear who wears no pants so they can all party together.
