Input Required

Monday was the kickoff for Kim's Blog Improvement Project, a year-long look at making your blog more user-friendly, gain more readers, write more interesting posts, any area in which a blogger may want to improve. The first topic is Setting Goals, and Kim has provided us with some great links to help with this task. One of these links is 69 questions, spread over 8 topics, to consider when looking at your blog. Several of these questions had to do with responding to comments, interacting with readers, knowing WHY people visit and then come back, and what do readers want from your blog.

So I ask for your help! In the comments of this post I'd love to know...
  • If you are a regular reader, what topics keep you coming back?
  • What would you like to read and see more of?
  • Do you find my blog loads easily and is easy to navigate?

To return the favor, feel free to ask me any questions about myself, my blog, or my topics and I will answer them in future posts. This activity will continue twice a month with a different topic each time. Feel free to join in on as many as interest you!

If you'd rather your reply be confidential, my e-mail is available on my Profile page.

Ok, I need to do something like this too so thanks for the link.

I come to your site because I love to see your collection of 'things' and the stories behind them. I am obsessed about a show here in Australia called Collectors. You have shown some interesting bits n pieces.

I like reading blogs which offer something different than others, and that is getting to know the personality of the blogger. I think you do that with your blog without giving too much away.

Your blog loads eaily and I have had no navigation problems. It is well laid out and clear.

Not sure that helps but good luck!

I couldn'r agree more with what Lilly said about your blog. I always know that when I visit you, I'm going to see and read about something from my past, things my Mom had and I just took for granted and not giving it a second thought. Now you make me realize just how valuable the things we had really were. And I thank you for that. I hope you don't change a thing.

Hugs,
Chris

First...How are you feeling?
Second...I love you book reveiws and I think you are a great source of information! My favorite post to date was when you showed us around Boston...it was beautiful!
I find your blog very pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate however a few times I have been unable to leave comments... I found this difficult a few times on other blogs as well causing me to think it may be my computer!
Great idea!

1. I come visit each day because I enjoy your company.

2. I think you have a good mix of items going on. I am not able to suggest any changes.

3. Your blog is easy to load and your links always work.

4. Bonus: your email does not work from your profile page. Maybe it's just me and my computer. Have others test it out.

Elizabeth, Thank you for the birthday wishes!
51 just sounds so much older than 50, I feel like I'm on a slippery slope towards 60 and although that isn't as old as it used to be (lol) I'm not anxious to get there.
Hugs, Bridget
p.s. your blog is great...everything that Lilly said so eloquently!

I think everyone has summed it up. Your personal approach is what keeps me reading. The links you have are great, I have found so many interesting things from visiting your blog. Thanks for sharing a part of yourself with us.

Your blog loads way quicker than most that I go to. I like it when you do the wonderful links to sites you've found. You were the one who introduced me to SITS. Which I just love. It's great that you take the time to do all the research and then share with us!

I keep coming back because there's always interesting things on your blog to read. Plus I think we have some things in common -- I always enjoy seeing your vintage stuff and wouldn't mind owning it myself, lol. And, I enjoy when you write about your family. I consider you a friend and just like to read whatever it is you have to say. Oh and your page loads just fine and quick for me.

I'm a first time visitor via BIP, but I'm joining your followers list :-). I like your layout (categorized blogrolls are great - I use them myself) and content. Love your blog title, too!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

I haven't had time to check out your blog yet, but I simply love the name of it! I wish I had come up with that ;-)

And your blog loads fast enough here at my home, no problems there.
