Many Faces of Santa

I collect snowmen as my winter decorating item, but like everyone, I have a number of Santa ornaments and home decor items.I have had this stuffed Santa doll/pillow since I was a baby. You can see where some stuffing is coming out and where there were snags that pulled out the colored thread. I just use it as a decoration, but as kids my sister and I slept with our Santa dolls for the entire season so he would know how much we looked forward to his visit.These resin Santas are tree ornaments, but they are very heavy, so I took the hangers off and use them for display. Some years I nestle them in garland across the mantle, I've also put down batting with lights under it and small evergreen pieces to make trees. They came with information cards about their country of origin, and are all created from chocolate molds, with their date on the base.These tree ornaments are usually scattered about the tree, but I grouped them for the photo. The satin ball with the fluffy beard and the little elf-looking ornament are vintage, I've had them for 40 years. The blown glass I bought about 15 years ago. The yarn ornament used to be a pin that I wore on my coat as a little girl. I think it came from a church fair. The felt Santa on skis I made when I was in high school from a kit. It is embroidered and has sequins and beads. It was a set of 8 and I gave 6 away as gifts and kept 2 for myself.My papier mache Saint Nicholas really appeals to me. The fur on his coat is very furry, and he is hollow, so I've been able to use him as a tree topper in the past. This year I am putting him on a tall candlestick to stand out a little, in a grouping with the resin Santas.
