She is still in very good shape, although her fur is a little squooshed. Her body is a mercury glass ornament and the hands and feet seem like some kind of duct tape material. The pink color is bright and her face hasn't chipped off at all. Someday I will give this ornament to my niece, but she wouldn't appreciate it right now, so it will hang with honor on my tree for many years to come.
I rarely buy any of my vintage things, so this one is special in that respect, also.Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick is hosting My Favorite Things for Christmas. Stop by and see what people are loving this year!
Be sure to visit Beverly and the other Pink Saturday participants. They always have lovely things to show!

I love vintage ornaments. I have so many ornaments. Wait until you see the pictures I took of last year's tree. Since I don't have a digital camera I can't take a picture of this year's tree and show it right away. That ornament you bought is very, very cute. They just don't make them like that anymore. Thanks for sharing it. xxoo
That's nice that you were able to get a vintage ornament since you love that so much. Maybe someday mine will be vintage, if my kids love my oranments as much as I do. Almost every ornament on my tree has a story. And every year, I get to think of it as I decorate my tree. :)
Hugs,
Chris
How nice to buy a future gift for your niece.
Elizabeth what a wonderful find... I love the vintage ornaments... I have a lot of my mothers and my grandmother’s ornaments... some so delicate I am afraid to hang them... I love even the new ones that look old style... We have bought a special ornament every year since we got married 40 years ago... Those really have special meaning...Have a great day...

I, too, carry my camera every where I go...and I still have a LITTLE pink to share....tee hee
Very cool....vintage things just make you want to know the story of their lives. I always want to know who bought it first...and why.
Happy Pink Saturday, Elizabeth.

Hi Great pink post! Hugs Denise
Hey, Elizabeth, this is a great oldie ornament ... it brings back memories of all the neat ones made of real pipe cleaners and silver foil in my early childhood. I was SO disappointed when my mother died last year, because I did not find any boxes of Christmas ornaments, and she was a huge ornament collector. Perhaps they ended up being move to my brother's garage, and I'll see them again some day.
Have a great pink week!

Wow - what a lovely vintage ornament for your tree. I hope it brings you pleasure for many years to come!
Great giveaways! Thanks for the info!
I love vintage ornaments! My favorite ornaments are the ones that once belonged to my grandmother. Since she died when I was very little - they were always on our tree. My mother gave me some a few years ago - and they're sentimental as well as vintage.
I love vintage ornaments..but then, I love most all Christmas ornaments, specially the handmade ones. Happy late Pink Saturday and have a lovely week.
