I am sharing my pink Depression glass fish dish! I don't think it's really Depression-era glassware. It is very thick glass with a slight orange tint. I've found no information about novelty dishes like this either online or in books. It doesn't matter if it's real, because it was a gift from my parents. I have a large collection of pink Depression-era glass that I know is real, and from time to time they get me something to go with it.
The dish is fun, and I keep it on display in my living room filled with vintage marbles from the 1930s that were my dad's. I picked out the pinky-orange ones, as well as those that are blueish, representing water, so I think it looks pretty good.I hope to see you for Pink Saturday next week, maybe you'll join in the fun! Be sure to stop by How Sweet the Sound and visit some of the other participants.

I love fish and I think that dish is really unusual. You seem to have quite a collection of things. I like seeing what you will show next.
I love that dish...I have carnival glass from my grandmother...in those really pretty shaeds of blue, green and gold tones. I do have a powder puff container with a poodle top in the depression glass. It was my Grandmother's, passed on to my Mom when she was a teenager and so to me. I gave it to my daughter when she got married and attahced a picture of my mother sitting at her vanity with the poodle pictured beside her. It is fun when someone you love held those things and used them!
Happy Pink Saturday, dear Elizabeth.
I am a lover of pink depression glass, too. Your fish is so fun, and how wonderful that you have marbles which belonged to your father. Thanks for sharing.

Oooh, I love the pink fish dish! I wish I had saved my marbles. I didn't mean for that to sound funny. I really haven't lost all of those marbles yet, but I do wish I had some real marbles from my childhood. I'm on the look out for some. I enjoyed visiting you this Pink Saturday. Love, Faith
Elizabeth.... Love the fish dish... It is really beautiful and the marbles are really cool too especially since they belonged to your dad...
