Blue Glassware

It's Monday, the day where we celebrate all things BLUE! This fun blog carnival is hosted by Smiling Sally. Be sure to visit her blog to see what BLUE items she and the other participants have on display today. Sally also has a couple of book giveaways going on, so look for those, too!
I have blue glassware this week. Sadly, none of these things are items I own. However, I do have all of them in PINK, which I don't care for as much as BLUE! In my sadly misplaced lust for the blue, I searched online and found pictures of what I really would like. Before you suggest it, I can't get rid of the pink, they are family collection. But, I could just start buying blue for myself, and maybe I will!

My mother has this same candy dish in milk glass, which I've always liked. She got me the one I have in pink as a gift many years ago to add to my collection.I keep meaning to use my ice bucket to store paintbrushes and other tall items in my craft room. I've also used it with floating candles and potpourri at different times. And of course, as it was intended to be used, as an ice bucket! I love the shape and size of these dessert dishes. I've used mine as fruit cups and to make mini-trifles, also. Now, when you see these same items some day for Pink Saturday, don't be surprised! Be sure to visit Sally and the other participants; you're sure to see some cool things and maybe learn something, too! Think about joining us next Monday!

Morning, Elizabeth! Now, these are very beautiful and I'm like you and have some pink depression glass. But this blue makes me think I need to get started on another color.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Hi Elizabeth! Those are beautiful blue glass items! I'm sure your pink glass is beautiful as well! I love that you use the items for things other than what they were intended for... I love to do that, too! And your candy dish made me think of my mom. Hers isn't the same style at all, but it is a pedestal clear glass candy dish that I treasure... She used to put her homemade fudge in it! Thanks for the memories, and for stopping by to see my rocker... Donna

I think your pink womanly glassware needs some manly blue to keep them company! That's just my opinion....LOL

Oh I love the blue, but to be honest with you, I love the pink as well. Any type of vintage glassware catches my eye.

Have a great week.

All pretty glassware gets my attention, but of course blue holds it the longest. :)

It's fun to collect beautiful glass dishes, no matter what color. Sometimes it's better to shop and imagine, than it is to buy and dust! Love, Faith
