Driving in to the city, there was this deep pink planter and mums in a niche behind the hospital. In front they had tons of them!
Here I am in the Infusion Room getting some IV immunoglobulin and enjoying a pretty good lunch. For some reason I really like the egg salad sandwiches they have at the hospital! Besides the lunch and the pretty nice reclining chair each patient has a 13 inch TV above them that gets quite a few channels. If you want privacy there are curtains and if you want to nap they'll bring you WARM BLANKETS! My favorite thing! So it's not too bad to be there for a few hours.
I am wearing one of my doctor visit sweat suits. There's a jacket too, that is gray and has pink stripes on the sleeves just like the pants. Have you ever heard the comedian Kathy Griffin joke about cancer patients and our sweat suits? It's true! I love them for seeing the doctor! It makes it easy for the doctor to get to everything he needs to see. That's also why I wear the slip off shoes that have pink accents! On a side note, did you know that New Balance is a Massachusetts-based company and most of their shoes are made in the USA?This is a shot of my sparkly pink earrings that I love. They are not only pretty, they are light and have the French hooks so I never worry about them falling out. In this picture you can also see my thinning hair line, another side-effect, as well as my pink swollen eyelids and pinkishly discolored skin.
The final pink item I am wearing is my Co-Flex bandage. Co-Flex is an awesome bandage wrap that sticks to itself, but not to skin. It's great for cancer patients or the elderly, who get very thin skin that can tear from regular adhesive bandages. At the hospital they put a piece of gauze and wrap it with the Co-Flex when they draw blood.
Now you can zip on over to How Sweet the Sound and see what Beverly and the other gals are showing off today!
