Like many other bloggers, when I have a few minutes to avoid chores, I love to click around the Etsy shops! I stumbled across some pink items, and that gave me an idea for this week's Pink Saturday post. I am going to share some great pink pieces with you, all with the theme of encouraging women to get a mammogram every year. All of these crafters are also donating a portion of their proceeds to a breast cancer related charity. I know Beverly, the Pink Saturday sponsor from How Sweet the Sound, and the other ladies will enjoy this, and I hope the non-participants will, too!I thought this set of 3 goats' milk soaps from The Pig & the Peacock was pretty cool! They are only $3.00 for a set and the artisans are donating $1.50 from each sale to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. They'd make great party favors or stocking stuffers!
Spa Goddess has a fabulous lavender & shea butter body scrub that she calls Double Love. Since 2006 she has donated 10% of the sales from this scrub year round to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For the month of October she is donating 10% from a variety of other items as well.
This crocheted bath mitt has a pocket in which to put a bar of soap! I've never seen anything like this, it seems like a retro idea. I'm sure if someone didn't want to wash with it, it could be used as a little holder pocket for something neat, or given as a gift bag. Knitter Knitter is donating all the proceeds from this item to the Ottawa Weekend to End Breast Cancer.
K.Y.M. Jewelry has several great pieces that are very modern. I liked the "Believe" circles with the leather straps in either pink or black. There are necklaces and bracelets of this design, as well as some pretty earrings.
50% of each BCA jewelry sale will benefit The Breathing Room Foundation, assisting families afflicted with cancer in greater Jenkintown, PA.Baby Jewlz has several awareness items, and is making a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the sale of each. I really liked these wine charms. They are pretty and girly, but not jewelry, which many of us already have. Another easy party favor, or hostess gift.
At Daisy Girl Designs the proceeds from all of her Breast Cancer Awareness items will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She has picture frames, beaded pens, and stationery.
There are many other great items available at Etsy, these are just some that I thought were a little different, as well as having donations made to cancer charities with each sale. Think about doing your holiday shopping early! AND remember that the point of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to encourage all women to schedule their mammograms and do monthly self-exams!Make sure to stop by How Sweet the Sound to see what Beverly and the other Pink Saturday participants are sharing!

Great post, Elizabeth. It makes me proud that so many have united to find a cure for breast cancer and all cancers.
Happy Pink Saturday to you.

You don't remember those bath mitts? Uh Oh. That might mean that I am a tad bit older than you :)
They're great, I love 'em because I have trouble holding onto deliciously yummy soaps!
I think the Breast Cancer Awareness is one of the first foundations or causes to truly bring all women together. Though we all may not be directly affected now, sadly enough chances are that one day we will be.
Thanks Elizabeth!
So many things; you've been shopping.
Happy Pink Saturday :-)
Stop by and check out my post. I'm giving away 3 books!
These are all wonderful items for such a great cause. I am donating 25% of all Etsy sales this month to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
