Blue Monday #1

Smiling Sally has created a new weekly meme! With so many people having fun withBev's Pink Saturdays at How Sweet the Sound, why not bring another color to the week! She has begun Blue Mondays and has this great blue jay graphic to help us know who is participating! So now we have 2 colorful days; who knows what will pop up next!
I am just pulling this post together at the last minute, so I thought I'd show some blue items that you may have seen in previous posts. If you haven't, you could go back and read about them, if you're interested! For those who don't know me, it might be a good way to get a sampling of who and what I am!
My first blue item is this pretty summer time apron I won from
Lisa the Apron Queen. She had a "Where in the World is the Apron Queen" contest, and I came in 2nd place! I love the ocean theme of the fabric. My 13 year old nephew is modeling it, so you definitely can't see his face; he'd die!

Next we have my Grandpa's blue metal lunch box and Thermos. The Thermos used to be glass-lined inside until I dropped it a few months ago. I originally showed this for a Vintage Thingies Thursday.

My final blue item is this gorgeous aerial photo of Ogunquit Beach, where I go for a week or so every summer. Ogunquit has the best of everything, shopping, restaurants, art galleries, scenery, and one of the top 10 beaches in the USA!

OH how the beach looks appealing! I could stand a week of just lying on the sand. I think your nephew is pretty cool...nice of him to model for you! Have a wonderful evening.

Your poor nephew! You should pay him heaps of $$ for that.

The beach looks gorgeous.

I have a little correction: I did not do this for people who don't have pink. We can participate in both memes--Pink Saturday and Blue Monday.

Thanks for dropping by my blog for Blue Monday. Even though I am retired, I still think of myself as a 6th grade teacher also. The beach is beautiful. My daughter-in-law is from Maine, and she said I could go with her one of these times when she goes home to visit.

I loved your blue apron-Your nephew was very kind to model it for us-tell him thank you from me. I loved the explanation for your blog name! I thought mabey you liked sci-fi or that your were referring to the cancer stuff. Awsome that you are about to hit the two year mark! Thanks for stopping by my blog today too!

I love your blue pics, they are just great. We spent almost a week in Ogunquit a few years ago in May. We dearly loved it there. We went out on a boat and saw the sights. We stayed in a beautiful Motel for very little money as the season had not started yet. The Lilacs were in bloom. It was almost heaven.

Thanks for sharing your 'blue' and
thank your nephew too.
Hugs, Jeanne

That apron is right up my alley since my little apartment is done in an ocean/beach theme. How pretty that you won it. Always love the vintage items you show. Elizabeth, you rock, hon! xxoo

I love all of the things you picked for blue Monday. The colors in the skirt are so pretty. I like the lunch bucket because it is sentimental to you and well if I could get to that beach what a grand time I would have. See you next week. I hope you have a lovely day.

I saw you were doing this and had to pop on over. I am so behind with my blog reading. Anyway, I think I told you before that I love that lunchbox. That apron looks like a skirt that you could wear everyday! Tell your nephew I love his modeling skills! (What did you bribe that poor boy with to get him to do this for you?) That beach looks gorgeous -- I so want to go there now.
