I just wanted to say congrats on your 2nd birthday! My husband is celebrating his 14th this week. His bone marrow transplant was actually from his own bone marrow they harvested when he was in remission.
Wow! This looks like a great event! I'll be back to get in on all the fun.
I came here by way of Justine's blog to answer a question you had there about Shelia. There is a link on my Pink Saturday post to Jan and Tom's Place where she has more information on where Shelia's house is located. She apparently has Shelia's phone number, and the last I knew, had not been succesful in reaching her by phone. We are all praying for her and hoping for the best, but are fearing that she may have had significant damage to her home.
Hope this answers some questions for you, or points you in the right direction!
Kady

Your birthday reminds me...
Last April my sister celebrated 1 year Cancer free, coinciding with my son's first birthday, and I sent her a birthday card from him to celebrate being 1 together.

I wish you the happiest of birthdays!

congratulations on 2 years, and huge thanks to your donor! I have looked into bone marrow donation, but unfortunately have other health issues that rule me out. I can't even donate blood! But I am so grateful for those who can do so in my stead. It's a huge gift!
