Beach Party

Have you ever been to a big, fun beach party; the kind you see on TV & in movies? Singing songs around a bonfire while someone plays a guitar, volleyball, Frisbee, s'mores, hotdogs, lemonade & beer? Or maybe a more elegant party with champagne, cold salads & fruits, cabanas, & people wearing elegant beach cover-ups? Well, I've never been to either, and I've always wanted to either attend or host one! I had so much fun with Jan & Tom's Tea Party, & I know many of you did too! So, with my 50th post coming up next week, I thought it would be fun to plan a beach party, & I hope many of you will throw your own parties, too!
Other Beach Parties to Visit on Friday
The Summer Kitchen
A Cup of Joy
The Chocolistas
Shelly's Stuff

Plan out your party just as if it were happening IRL, but it can be even nifty-er! Where will you hold it? ocean, lake, the Riviera, Cape Cod, Hawaii? The sky's the limit!
What will you serve? Will guests bring food, or will you provide everything? Will it be a day or evening party? Are children included? Are there activities like kayak races, swimming relays, a sand castle contest or flying kites?Maybe you'll include recipes for great summer salads, or barbecue sauces/marinades. Wouldn't it be cool if someone posted directions for a pig roast or clam bake?Of course pictures of all the food & fun will really make the party exciting! I'm looking forward to some fun stories about amazing parties! If you want to participate, let me know so I can link to you, and then post your beach party on Friday, July 25. Include a link back to me, please, which will give us a nice list of all the participants in one place. It would be great if you posted the button I created before the 25th, so others can get the information and participate, also.

Elizabeth...after reading your comment you left for me at my blog, I am compelled to stop by your blog and say "You're so right" about being outside in the summer, under the sprinklers and have a grand ol' time with baby oil.
